All of the 1st Call Home care staff are caring professionals who are highly skilled, culturally sensitive and ready to help. We are the leaders in providing community nursing care to meet your clinical and personal needs so that you can lead an independent and healthy lifestyle.
1st Call Home Care can provide services in your home by qualified and experienced staff. You can choose to access these services on a regular or an occasional basis. When you call 1st Call Home Care, we will schedule a personal consultation. One of our Registered Nurses will meet with you to assess your needs and plan your nursing and/or personal care services. The nurse will determine the type and frequency of these services and explain fully how this plan can help you to live independently and support your health needs.
Whether you need assistance to complete simple tasks or require complex clinical care, 1st Call Home Care have the experience to meet your needs at home. Our staff deliver care with empathy and respect for your diversity and cultural needs. In addition to providing the care that you require, our staff can liase with your community providers to ensure that as you transition between your home and your work, school, appointments etc, you have continuity and a strong advocate to help you voice your needs and maintain your cherished independence.

What is NDIS?

Community Nursing care can includes
Visiting you in your home for 24-hour nursing care, health monitoring, and nursing assessments (including blood pressure or blood glucose levels)
  • Development of care plans to manage and support your physical and mental health – therapeutic, rehabilitation, or preventative care.
  • Medication administration and/or medication device set-up and replenishment
  • Simple and Complex wound care and education
  • Bowel and Bladder care including Catheters, Stoma care, Continence advice and management.
  • Respiratory care and oxygen therapy support and education
  • Device care and management, including catheters, feeding tubes, PICC lines etc.
  • Palliative care support and advocacy
  • Overnight nursing care and ongoing care after a hospital stay
  • Chronic disease management and education (diabetes, epilepsy, heart disease etc)
  • Monitoring long-term conditions including Dementia or Parkinson’s and challenging behaviour support
  • Assistance with personal care including hygiene, dressing and toileting.
  • General health and wellbeing checks
  • Accompanied travel health support including planned holidays.

NDIS Community Nursing Care FAQ's

NDIS Community Nursing Care is a type of support offered by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to people with a disability, which covers a range of clinical nursing services delivered in the community.

NDIS Community Nursing Care includes a range of clinical nursing services such as catheter care, wound management, medication management, monitoring of vital signs, and continence management.

People with a disability who are participants of the NDIS and require clinical nursing services in the community are eligible for NDIS Community Nursing Care.

To access NDIS Community Nursing Care, you will need to have an NDIS plan in place and contact a registered NDIS provider that offers community nursing services.

NDIS Community Nursing Care is funded by the NDIS, and the cost of the service is included in your NDIS plan.

Yes, as an NDIS participant, you have the choice and control to choose your own provider for NDIS Community Nursing Care.

The frequency and duration of NDIS Community Nursing Care are based on your individual needs and are determined by your NDIS plan.

24-hour Nursing Care and More

We provide 24 hrs care to hospitalized patients. Our nurses take more extra care.
